CBWags4u Dachsies live in our home so they understand being a pet first - they have a very happy life - playing outside with lots of attention from us and all the best care possible.  When we place up for adoption one of our adult dachshunds we are hoping to find them their unique match for a forever home. Most of the adult dachshunds that are available for adoption are placed between the age of one to five years. 

How do we decide?  It is never an easy choice to put one of our adult dachshunds up for adoption - we consider that having their own family to shower them with love and attention a special gift - deciding the right fit for each one so that they may continue on in their years having the best life possible! 

Our adult dachshunds remain on our adoption page for however long it takes to find the perfect fit for their forever home.  It is a joyous occasion to find the perfect fit between human and Dachshund!

Our Adults are placed as pet companions with a spay/neuter contract, and we would prefer that anyone wishing to adopt one of our adult dachshunds come to our home to meet their new LIFETIME friend.  We reserve the right to refuse placement based on our experience, and the needs of each individual dog.

IT IS OUR POLICY THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP OUR ADULTS!

We welcome visits by appointment, and request that an adoption questionnaire be completed by each individual or family prior to your appointment to visit our home.

Our dogs understand basic obedience commands which are given verbally, and with hand signals.  Positive feedback for good behavior is the best reward, and we shower or dachshunds with lots of love!

Each of our Dachshunds has their individual crate which is their "bed".  They have a very good understanding of going potty outside in the yard - we have a doggy door installed for their use.  We work on the basic understanding of potty training from paper training to using the doggy door.  In our home they behave well for us - but because there can be behavior slips when a dog is placed in a new home environment - WE CANNOT GUARANTEE POTTY TRAINING! 

The fee for adopting an adult is $250 - $400.  

In over 12 years CBWags4u Dachsies has been placing our adults in forever homes we have been successful because of the stringent guidelines we have established regarding the placement of CBWags4u Adult Dachshunds.
