Adoption Process We ask that everyone view, and complete our adoption questions - the questions that we ask help us determine the type of temperament will fit best with your lifestyle, and that the home is prepared for a new addition.  The questions can be answered and forwarded in an informal email - or a hard copy can be printed and mailed to us with your deposit.  We will call or email you with our decision, and any comments regarding the adoption of a dachsie. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse placement of our puppies and adults base on our knowledge, and years of experience with the miniature dachshund breed. Please click here to view CBWags4u Dachsies Adoption Questionnaire We provide our customers with a purchase contract which includes a LIFETIME GUARANTEE for genetic issues which would impair their ability to live to their life expectancy - which for dachshunds is normally over 14 years - please see our sample contract, and adoption questionnaire for more information.  We will provide you with  health information and support to raise your dog as well as our own tote bag filled with a folder for your documents - including a pedigree for your puppy, food to start, toys, and a special handmade blanket !  Click here to view our companion pet contract We raise miniature dachshund puppies of quality in three areas - temperament, conformation and health. Many of our miniature dachshund puppies go into companion homes with a spay/neuter contract.  We will provide AKC limited registration once proof of spay/neuter is sent to us.  There are occasions that we can offer full registration - these puppies or dogs have gone through a careful evaluation to be very correct in conformation, & temperament - what we consider "show companions".  All of our puppies are given an initial health check by our Veterinarian. We take pride and responsibility for our breeding lines.   We do not approve of puppy mills, backyard breeders - AKC Show Companions means they must be shown in AKC Conformation Events!    We avidly support rescue organizations, and suggest everyone get involved in some way with rescues! CBWags4u Dachsies requires a non-refundable minimum deposit of $250.00 which applied to the purchase price to hold a puppy until the arranged time of pick up or shipment. Please click here to review our deposit & holding agreement.  All deposit fees that we receive never expire.  Should the color or coat chosen not appear in a specific litter - the deposit is applied to the next similar breeding - the deposit moves to another litter until the miniature dachshund puppy you desire is born!  All deposit fees are a portion of the total fee for adopting a puppy or adult.  We welcome our future owners to visit - see our home, and our Dachsies!  Should you feel that you require references - we are more than happy to provide references from our Veterinarian, past customers, and reputable breeders. Many of our customers have more than one of our dachshund puppies or adults - because it is so much fun to have these loveable characters in your family!  When purchasing a miniature dachshund puppy from CBWags4u we provide you with support throughout the lifetime of your pet.  The special puppy you have chosen will have it's photograph taken at regular intervals, and we will email you a copy of these photos so that you will have  a wonderful scrapbook from the time that your puppy is born until the time you are able to bring it home.  Puppies can be shipped and the shipping fee is always pre-paid - we will ONLY use airlines that provide counter to counter service which ensures that the animal travels safely, and is well cared for in transit.  We will release puppies to their new families between the age of 9 - 12 weeks, and we will ship puppies at no earlier than the age of 10 weeks.  All fees must be paid in full Bank Check or Cash.  If making a final payment by check it must be received by our bank 10 days prior to the date we ship the puppy.  We do not take credit cards, and we will not accept checks issued from a credit card because of our bank's policy regarding these checks.
